Crosswind Kids

We are committed to creating safe and fun environments where your children are taught about the Bible and the love of Jesus through relevant, age-appropriate kids services. Our ultimate hope is to see a generation of children come to know God at an early age. Crosswind Kids is for children from birth through 5th grade and classes are available at both our 9:00 and 10:45 am Sunday Morning services!

Our entire Children's Ministry area is located in the lower level, right beneath the main sanctuary. We feel that this is the best location to help ensure the safety of our kids and it gives them a place of their own. This also keeps the kids close to their parents in the main service.

To ensure the safety of the kids in our Children's Ministry classes, we use a check-in system. Each week when you arrive you will be asked to check in the kids that are going to be attending one of our Crosswind Kids' classes. First-time guests are asked to register each child at the Children's Ministry sign-in desk, located at the bottom of the stairwell. (Our Guest Services team will be happy to direct you!) During this registration and check-in process, this is great time to alert the Crosswind Kids Dream Team of any special needs, allergies, or other information you feel they need to be aware of. We strive to create space for every child to have fun and encounter Jesus!

Each parent and child will have an ID sticker, which serves multiple purposes. First, they allow us to monitor and control the traffic through our Children's area. Only people with the designated ID stickers are allowed past the table and into any of the rooms. Second, they allow us to communicate with parents. Each child is randomly assigned a number each week, and that number is printed on the stickers. If we need to reach you during service, we'll flash that number onto the main projector screens at the front of the auditorium. Finally, the registration and check-in systems allow us to easily keep track of how many children are in our Children's Area each week and which ministries they are involved in.

Safety is a top priority for us here at Crosswind Church. Each one of our Crosswind Kids Dream Team members undergo a criminal background check in order to ensure that the people working with your children are safe. Our Crosswind Safety Team is also present at every one of our services and monitor every corridor of the church. Should they be needed, our check-in station is equipped with a radio that reaches them directly. You can rest assured that while at Crosswind Church your kids will be safe and well cared for!

During both our Sunday morning worship services we encourage all of our middle and high school students to attend and serve during the main adult service. For our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students we offer something called "Hightide". This class meets during the sermon portion of the service. These students will remain in the service and will be dismissed from the stage sometime after worship. During the class time the students engage with a lesson out of God's word that is geared towards them. Hightide acts to bridge the gap between our Crosswind Kids program and attending the adult Sunday morning worship service.
